I like the white on black more, personally. It's easier to read. The contest rules also ask for a single T-shirt colour, so watch for that.
I'm not sure about the outer words; their placement doesn't seem to fit well with the design, and I honestly didn't even notice them and thought they were just more of the pattern. They could mirror the appearance of the first quote on the back, I think, and still carry the same weight of message.
I do like the overall hand-drawn appearance. That is fantastic.
